2010 Northeast Alabama State Fair

Fair Dates: September 2 - 6, 2010

Welcome to the official site of the 49th Annual Northeast Alabama State Fair sponsored by the Huntsville Jaycees and Kissel Entertainment. Since 1962, the Huntsville Jaycees have worked hard to provide the citizens of Huntsville and all of North Alabama with a fun, family oriented Fair. This year’s Fair offers something for everyone both young and young at heart.

There’s lots of new events and attractions for this year’s Fair including the ALL NEW John Hunt BBQ Festival, sponsored by the Huntsville Jaycees and Southern Crossroads. This is a Shadetree BBQ competition with cash prizes awarded to the teams with the best ribs and best chicken. If you think your BBQ is the best then we encourage you to enter. Also new for 2010 are the Star Family Circus and Thrill Show. This high action show features “death defying” motorcycle acts along with several circus acts that your family is sure to enjoy. The Star Family Circus will have you on the edge of your seat.

Another new attraction is the Rowdy Rooster Puppet Show. This is one of the most popular children’s shows touring the country. This high energy, comedy show has played at some of the biggest Fairs in the US and we are excited to have them at the 2010 Fair.

Back by popular demand this year is the award winning magic of Russell Davis. This all new show will have you wondering “How did he do that?”. Russell’s show encourages audience participation so get involved and have some fun. We also have many contests including 2 nights of Karaoke, a Money Haystack and a Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest.

Also returning for 2010 is the T & N Acres Petting Zoo. This zoo features a wide variety of exotic animals along with many domestic animals for you to get up close with and feed. It also features a pony ride area that children can experience for a small charge.

Finally, we are proud to welcome back Kissel Entertainment for their 14th straight year at the Northeast Alabama State Fair. Kissel is an industry leader in carnival ride safety and they consistently provide a safe, clean, family type atmosphere that you are sure to enjoy.
